5: ‘…the ever rolling stream of time, (commonsensically…)’

“Man observes time as an ever rolling stream of now because he is fundamentally stupid.” argued feisty feminist Ertha Fats back in the decade of sin. She chastised women for accepting ‘malestream’ constructions of linear time that ensured housework could be done efficiently. Her somewhat shaky interpretation of the work of brilliant physicist Nugent Weinstock led her to the conclusion that time operated in a ‘two-steps forward, one step back’ mode. Weinstock stated that ‘now’ was a 9 pico-second segment of time that uncoupled from linearity upon in its second phase and then slowed to a velocity of 33 mph. (This occurrence has a symbiotic relationship with matter: this is why objects appear smaller on a windy day).

Fats believed that adherence to this model would lead to the possibility of exiting male-ordered time. By straddling the 9 pico chunk of now, women could inhabit an exclusive temporal dimension, therefore avoiding smelly over-competitive men and housework.
